This service manual is designed to aid the operator who has received the Xerox Productivity Plus for the Xerox Color 800/800i/1000/1000i Press training. The manual provides the information necessary to correct problems, or call for service.

Contents:
Section 1. Introduction
This section of the manual contains information about the service manual, safety
information, a listing of the tools and cleaning supplies.
Section 2. Faultless install
This section contains information about faults codes that will be displayed on the PC/UI.
Section 3. Image Quality
This section assists you in identifying output defects by providing both descriptions,
and illustrations of defects. Once you have determined the type of defect, you will be
directed to the appropriate corrective action to take.
Section 4. Repairs
This section contains removal and replacement procedures for machine sub assemblies
that are identified as part of the XPP Program.
Parts/Assemblies will need to be cleaned/changed based on different criteria:
Interval - Parts will need to be replaced at a specific time based on print volume. There
will be an indicator on the PC/UI that tells you when the part is approaching that
number and service will be required. These parts are called HFSIs (high frequency
service items) and are given a number to indicate the normal life of the part.
Run to failure - Parts that will go beyond the predicted life cycle or become damaged
and shut down the machine.
